Littleton’s bakery game is no longer just about grabbing a sad muffin on your way to the light rail, and thank god for that. You can start your morning with a flight of single-origin coffee at Corvus, sip it slowly on a patio with your dog at Latke Love, then cap the night with a cheesecake at The Lazy Greyhound.

We’ve got places that rotate bundt flavors monthly and a tea shop that knows your name by Tuesday. No two spots here taste alike, and that’s exactly the point.

I ate my body weight in frosting so you don’t have to guess. Here’s where to go when the craving hits.

Highlights
Cupcakes are soft and creamy, but the price stings a bit.
Rich frosting with real flavor, though it might overwhelm some palates.
Service was less than friendly—the masked clerk seemed indifferent.
At $5 per cupcake, you're paying for convenience, not value.
Comparable quality exists elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.

Butterscotch Grove is a study in contrasts. The cupcakes themselves are genuinely good, soft and creamy with a rich frosting that actually tastes like something. But then you hit the price, five dollars for a single cupcake, and the experience sours. The service doesn't help. The masked clerk behind the counter seemed actively bored, like I was interrupting their day just by asking for a pastry. You're paying for convenience here, not quality, because you can find comparable treats at a grocery store for a fraction of the cost. If you're desperate and standing right there, sure, grab one. But don't expect a warm welcome or a deal.

I ordered the latke, and it was worth every penny, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. It's the kind of meal that makes you want to come back and try everything else on the menu. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff didn't rush me. If you're looking for a solid, satisfying meal in a comfortable setting, this is it. Just bring your appetite.
