You’ve got bulgogi-taco trucks parked next to sit-down galbi palaces, and that’s exactly the kind of delicious chaos we’re here for. Fountain isn’t exactly a Seoul food destination—unless you know where to look.

We hit everything from a Korean fried chicken joint that nails the crunch to a BBQ spot where the banchan parade will ruin your main course (sorry, Shin Sa Dong). One thing’s for sure: your kimchi jjigae standards are about to get wildly unreasonable.

So cancel your plans, bring a big appetite, and dig into the list.

Worth the drive
Great Korean BBQ
Friendly staff
Generous side dishes
Perfect for families

I drove out to Shin Sa Dong with high hopes and a rumbling stomach. Worth the drive, folks. The Korean BBQ arrives sizzling, and you get to play with fire a little. My kind of dinner. The staff treated me like I actually knew what I was doing. I did not. They were patient and friendly anyway. The side dishes came out in a parade. Little bowls of pickled everything. I ate too many and ruined my main course. Zero regrets. Families will love this spot. Booths are big. Noise level is happy, not chaotic. I left stuffed and slightly embarrassed by how much banchan I inhaled. But I'll be back. That's the real review.
